Canfield Inspires Central New York to Envision, Believe, Act

It was a beautiful day in the neighborhood: Jack Canfield inspired two appreciative audiences with his presentations on "The Success Principles" and the "Law of Attraction" on Tuesday, April 8th at The Events Center at Turning Stone Resort. The Professional Development Committee of the Rome Area Chamber of Commerce thanks its marketing partners and Turning Stone Resort for helping to make this vision a successful reality. We look forward to bringing more high-quality personal and professional programming to Central New York.

We invite and encourage you to share your comments about the events of the day. Simply click on the link below and follow the on-screen instructions. Thank you!

The Professional Development Committee and the Chamber were already operating under the Law of Attraction when Sally Arcuri suggesting bringing Jack Canfield a year ago and everyone said yes and made it happen. Of course, Donna Skibitski and her team set the precedent with Disney Leadership before, so the only thing we knew was success, so how it could it have been otherwise?!

Kudos to the Rome Chamber, Professional Development Committee and sponsors for bringing in speakers of this caliber. The work you've done over the past year resulted in a superbly well-organized, well-promoted event, and is very much appreciated! The entire Mohawk Valley should sit up and take notice. Thanks again.

I went to hear Jack speak to see if it would help with my healing. I had brain surgery and have been away from college to recover, yet while I was listening to Jack, I wanted to take notes. My hand hasn't been working, yet I thought I wonder if I have anything in my bag to write on and with. I let go of the fear that it might not work and I ended up writing 7 or 8 page!! This is after an OT said there was no more improvement possible. I just kept believing there was and I felt inspired to record what I was learning. I now know I can go back to college and learn again. I feel healthy and whole. The impression I have about Jack is he was a "real person" who was sharing what worked for him. He wasn't there to tell us his accomplishments. He was there to show us the way that we, as regular people, can do it too. He was genuine and connected to us. I feel I can go back to school and finish my college career and establish a successful life. Thanks for helping with my healing. I feel great today!! J.

I came to the event knowing that I was already sort of practicing some of Jack's techniques in my quest for personal and professional success. But what I found after listening to him during both sessions was that I had no focus; I am not directing my life, I am allowing it to happen to me, and hoping I'll be happy with the results. He inspires me to clearly define my visions for the rest of my life and to start right now on the quest to personal and professional success and fulfillment.

Grateful for all who are sharing their message. Here is what I have received today-a summary of comments: An enthusiastic phone message: "If you ever hear of anything like this happening again, I want to be there!! It was Phenomenal and my daughter and I had a great conversation on the way home. I wish everyone could have been there!"
From a teen from Leaders for Life Camp: We need to send Jack photos from our Come as you will be Party that we do at camp! I really believe in my future more after listening to him.
From a friend who flew here from Trinidad: "I am impressed with this Mohawk Valley. They know how to do things right!"
From a woman in NJ: It was well worth the drive and if they are going to bring programs like this again, let me know. I am there!
From a teacher: I am committed to creating a classroom filled with the focus of success and possibilities!
From a man who is dealing with a divorce: My children's future will be brighter. I let go of the anger and discovered forgiveness. I feel lighter and hopeful. With tears in his eyes, he said "thank you so much. This night changed my life and my children's lives."
From a visionary who sees solutions for the Mohawk Valley: I am going to DREAM BIGGER and find ways to connect people in solution-oriented conversations.
From me: My heart is grateful for all the volunteer hours that went into creating this event. This is only the beginning. Let's continue to pursue our dreams, support one another and remember "If it is meant to be, it is up to me!" Teresa Huggins

Meeting Jack Canfield was one of my DREAMBOARD DREAMS come true! What a very down to earth person Jack is, compassionate, sensitive, funny and Inspiring. Jack is an excellent example of living his life's purpose on purpose. I have listened to Jack Canfield's informational programs since 1990 Self Esteem and Peek Performance and just as he illustrated with the success of individuals, I used the knowledge I gained from his lessons to triple my income on a project I worked on after listening to his training.

The most important piece of information I gained from the Mastering Success Principles workshop was that I more clearly defined my life's purpose. I have read The Aladdin Factor book and can't wait to get to listen to the cd. I have The Success Principles book and have listened to The Success Principles cd many times. My participation in the workshop definitely put me over the top in planting my flag for the next exciting part of my life. I am filled with gratitude for the opportunities coming my way!

Seeing Jack Canfield in person, meeting him and attending his workshop rekindled the I CAN DO EVERYTHING attitude in me. I have newly established goals that I intend to follow through on.

I want to extend my greatest appreciation to Jack Canfield for choosing to make Rome one of his events and to the Rome Chamber of Commerce for having the Vision to know that this area desperately needed a Professional and Personal Development Workshop such as this. I am positive each and every person took something back to their work areas, homes and personal businesses. Make it a great day everyday filled with joy, love and happiness....And of course, remember the waterfall! Cathy Doolittle

I went to Jack's training session in the afternoon and to the Law of Attraction event in the evening. I found both of these events very enjoyable and inspiring. I have been a Jack Canfield fan since I saw him at the Stanley Theatre in 2002. At that time he inspired me to write my story which was published in the Chicken Soup for the Breast Cancer Survivor's Soul. Ever since I saw him for the first time my dream was to see Jack again. In July, 2005 I emailed Jack that I wish he would do a training conference at the Turning Stone Casino since it was so close to home and I couldn't travel to the West coast for one. When I heard that the Rome Chamber of Commerce was bringing Jack to the Turning Stone Casino I was elated - my dream was coming true. I want to thank the Rome Chamber of Commerce for a wonderful program and for helping make my dream come true.
